There will be a Covid Vaccination Clinic taking place at The Unity Centre on 9 October. The following people are eligible for the Autumn booster:

Residents in care homes for older adults

All adults aged 65 years and over

People aged 6 months to 64 years in a clinical risk group.

frontline health and social care workers.

People aged 12 to 64 years who are household contacts of people with immunosuppression.

People aged 16 to 64 years who are carers, and staff working in care homes for older adults

We are collecting donations to help people affected by the devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. We urgently need the following items:

Tents and camping mats (can be second hand), sleeping bags, thermos flasks, torches, food boxes (dry and tinned), baby food and supplements, babies nappies, women’s hygiene products, cleaning and hygiene products, hats, gloves, winter jackets, rain coats, boots, wellies, jumpers, trousers, scarves, hats, socks, boxers (only new clothing please).

Unity centre autumn update

Our opening hours are Monday, Tuesdays and Thursday 10am-4pm, Wednesdays and Fridays 10am -12.30 pm.

We are now also open for room hire , subject to hirers agreeing to follow the new Covid procedures. For any room hire enquiries please email office@chawrec.org.uk For bookings we are able to open every day from 8am-11pm
