Our Trustees are legally responsible for the organisation. They are Trustees for the purposes of charity law and directors for the purposes of company law.

TK has a long history of volunteering and working as a Trustee for CHAWREC. He is currently supporting our Syrian refugee families in Cheshire.

Bhupinder Virdee Lace

Bhupinder is better known as ‘Pip’ and is an individual member. She is a primary school teacher and a published author. Many know Pip as a fantastic cook and an avid fundraiser for good causes. She runs monthly cookery classes at the CommUnity Cafe.

Ivan has been working in the field of corporate service and business consultancy for almost 20 years in Hong Kong and the UK. As the founder of a Hong Kong community group in Chester, he has worked with a wide range of stakeholders in the region and also nationality to support integration of Hong Kong diaspora in the UK. 

Shamla Naidu

Shamla is an individual member. She has been secretary for the REC in recent years and currently works for a large international company, where she is a trusted PA to a senior manager.

Karen dickson

Trustee Board member and Secretary.
Experience & Skills
Since retiring from teaching, Karen has been please to support CHAWREC as an ESOL tutor and as a volunteer, supporting other tutors and running a weekly Craft and Chat group.

ADEDAYO ADEBISI

Adedayo is a Chartered Accountant with over 6 years of experience in tax compliance, accounting, and financial reporting. He currently works as an Accountant within a professional accounting practice, supporting diverse clients with accurate financial and tax reporting. Adedayo has also previously served as a trustee at the Chester Students’ Union, where he played a key role in shaping students' experience and contributing to the charity’s financial strategy. 

SHAUNAGH MOSS

Shaunagh is Head of Student Experience at the University of Chester, leading work to support underrepresented students to access and thrive in higher education. She played a key role in the University achieving University of Sanctuary status and is passionate about equality, diversity and inclusion. Shaunagh has extensive experience in student wellbeing, safeguarding and community engagement, and works closely with local voluntary networks in Chester and Warrington.
